Hey all!

This past weekend marked my second appearance at SUPERFLY COMICS, located in the nice little “boutique” town of Yellow Springs, Ohio.

I’ve been friends with the Superfly crew for quite some time (we originally all met via the excellent www.PanelsonPages.com podcast back in the day), and given how much I enjoyed being at the shop the last time I was there I was anxious to return.

The real irony is that, when I started my fall convention season back at Cincy Comic Con (it was only the first week of September, but it seems like a lifetime ago already!), I was chatting with the Superfly crew on the show floor on Friday night (they were set-up there as well), and I joked “If I extended this tour past then shows in ten weeks I’ll have to come down to your shop again.”

By that Sunday I decided to make this tour 13 shows in 13 weeks and our date was set. I was so bright-eyed and bushy-tailed then… and, surprisingly, remain so.

One of the greatest joys of this tour has been being able to see so many of my comic friends and just VISIT with them — even if it’s only for a bit, and that was yet again a treat I got to enjoy at Superfly, as this picture with the staff shows:

Yes, we are dorks. Thanks for noticing.

Much love to the whole Superfy crew for having me down, for all the people who came out to visit (including Steve Greene of Voyag3r, the band from Detroit Michigan who played at my signing at Comics n’ More a few weeks back and just happened to be visiting Yellow Springs that weekend — and also just so happened to see me crossing the street from the local burger restaurant right before my signing started!), and all my NEW comic friends I’ve now made because of this signing.

You all know who you are, I hope, and I hope you all know how much I appreciate ya’.

This Saturday I’ll be at AKRON COMICON in Akron, Ohio, making my debut at the show. If you’re in the area be sure to swing by and say “Hi,” ya’ hear?

Your friend in comics,
Dirk Manning
